Music in The Sky presents Lullabies, a daytime performance featuring jazz and classical ARIA-nominated pianist, Nat Bartsch.
This solo performance blends atmospheric composition, florid melodic embellishments and ambient electronics. It features a series of lullabies inspired by Max Richter’s Sleep album and the children’s genre-crossing of the Teeny Tiny Stevies.
Providing a soundtrack for the first years of many babies’ lives, from their time in utero, to the delivery room, to their evening sleep routine, this inclusive music event program provides a safe space for expectant mums, families with young infants and children. And whilst the soundtrack was designed to support parents and babies, it will also be enjoyed by non-parents and people from all walks of life, including neurodivergent people, those experiencing mental illness, grief and stress.
Following the performance, an insightful Q&A will be held with Nat, facilitated by Dr Tanya Silveria, a Registered Music Therapist and Subject Coordinator with the University of Melbourne.
